The Cravy Family

Something funny Natty said today while we were enjoying a family night out. We were eating at McDonald’s and I was stealing some of Nat’s apple dippers. Apparently I dripped some of the caramel sauce on my shirt (big shock) and Natty looks at me and says “Daddy, you have camel on your shirt!”

While playing Chutes and Ladders with Andi and I, she is using a pterydactyl toy to spin the spinner. We ask her if she is using the beak of the dinosaur and she says “No, its his poker.” Funny stuff from a funny kid.

Well, we finally are taking our first mini-vacation since the kids were born, just as a family. Andi has taken a few trips with Natty to Virginia and we went to Chicago with my parents but no trips with just us. We came to Ruidoso, NM and are enjoying it a lot. The weather has really cooperated and has been just beautiful so far. Cold but pretty. We even got lucky and the cabin that we aer in has access to an open wi-fi connection, allowing access to the internet. Natty has never seen mountains like this before and she is pretty amazed. We will post up some pictures to this post here in a bit as we can get some taken.

We got an early start this morning, still being on Lubbock time and all. We got to eat at a place here called the Village Buttery where they do great quiche and buttermilk pie. The tomato basil soup was very good too. Even Natty got her favorite, PB&J. We walked around with the kids in the stroller for a bit and bought the kids a stuffed animal from Ruidoso Bear Stuffers. Natty, in typical Natty form, got a dalmation with a Batman suit. His name is now Batdog and she is pretty amped about him. Micah got a chimp dressed as Superman, now named Super Chimp. It was a neat experience for them and was fun for us too. The weather is very cold although no snow yet.

Updates have been few and far between lately and we apologize for that. Things continue to go well with everyone. Micah’s health has been good, although we still haven’t been able to feed him solid foods. It causes him considerable gas pain and so we are taking it slow with that. Natty is learning so much in pre-school and she always keeps us entertained. I will post more soon with some new pictures for the gallery.
