The Cravy Family

Parents always think that their kids are the smartest, the cutest, the all around best kids on earth. Well, most of the time anyways. Well here I have some video evidence to back up our claims. The first is Micah at 4 months old, mashing on the keyboard of the Mac. Not only is he smart enough to use a keyboard at that age, he is smart enough to use a Mac in the process. Very handsome and smart to boot!

The second video is of our beautiful daughter, Natty. She is playing with her Thomas the Train set that we bought her for her birthday. Her PawPaw bought her a train table and so we got it set up today and she is loving it.  Enjoy!

Natty has recently started pre-school and we are so proud of all the things that she is learning. The teachers are really impressed with her because she already knows things that some of the 4 year olds in her class don’t know yet. As a 3-year old, she already knows her letters, numbers, shapes and colors which is awesome. She may even end up smarter than me someday! Here is her singing her ABC’s for us, so cute!

If you have ever wanted to hear the funniest story ever told, listen to a 3 year old! I have always encouraged Natty’s creativity even pushed her in some ways. I haven’t posted in a while so I thought I would write down some of the things Natty has told me in the recent months.

We recently put Natty’s bed in her room. She has slept by herself for a while now. One of the first nights she slept in her room, she comes out of after being put to bed and she tells me she can’t sleep in her room. When I ask her why not, she tells me in a soft and secretive manner “there is a monster in my room.” I look at her and ask “what?” She then says to me, “Mom, there is a monster in my room and it has green, sharp teeth. Its big and it wants to eat me.” Now I am trying really hard to not laugh as she is telling me this. I ask her where the monster is and she looks at me and says “its under the bed, and it looks like Strawberry Shortcake!” I can no longer contain my laughter. I look at her and ask her if she is really scared she says yes and then weasels her way into our bed that night.

The time according to Natty: You never know how time works for a 3 year old. After an exhausting night and morning with Micah, we pick up Natty from school. I get Micah settled and fed and put him down for a nap. Natty and I play for awhile until she gets bored and goes to play on her computer. Later, I heard Micah, but decided to let him cry a little. After about 2 or 3 minutes go by and its quiet, I get up to check on him and to my surprise, I see Natty holding Micah over her lap, patting him on the back. She managed to pick him up and put him over her lap. I say, ” Natty, what are you doing?” To that she replies,”Mom, its about time! He’s been crying for 5 days!” Again I was amazed at how funny my daughter could be. She was so serious. She is a very good big sister and a great help.
