Where’d Pete Go?
Aaron Cravy | April 28, 2007We got our first fish tank here in the last month or so as we thought it was time to add a pet to our lives. Natty has been wanting a puppy, a turtle, a frog, a rabbit or basically anything that is alive so we decided to start with fish. Not very cuddly but fun to look at and feed.
What we didn’t bank on was how fragile these fish can be as we each of our first six fish died. These was Pete #1, Pete #2, Apple #1, Apple #2, Blue and Joe, all gone to swim with Jesus in heaven. That brings me to the point of this post, how do you explain death to a two year old? Read the rest of this entry »
Why do bad allergies happen to good people?
Aaron Cravy | April 27, 2007UPDATE Mom is home now after seven days in the hospital. They still are not exactly sure what caused her extreme allergic reaction but they have changed up her meds in hope that that was where the problem was.
I wanted to write a quick post letting people know about my mom, Jeannette, being in the hospital. She is suffering from an allergic reaction to something, only no one has a clue as to what it is. This is the 3rd day that she has spent there, beginning on Wednesday, the 25th, which was also her birthday of all things. She has been painfully itchy, with hives all over the place and it was affecting her breathing as well. Unfortunately, her doctor is out of town so she is working with another doctor in the meantime. I use the words “working with” very loosely as she has only seen this doctor 3 times as of this writing. When you are basically living in a hospital, the last thing you want to do is spend all day and all night just laying there waiting to see your doctor. I know it is frustrating for her and I pray that it ends soon and some solutions can be found. She is being super strong about it and I’m very proud of how she is handling it all.
New Site Look and Easter Pictures
Aaron Cravy | April 21, 2007The Cravy family site has been updated with a snazzy new look (if I do say so myself). I have been doing a lot of work in
WordPress (the software that drives this site) over the last few months and felt it was time to update our site to show off some of what I’ve learned. I currently maintain and work on a number of other sites such as Caprock Bible Study, RichardCravy.com and Effective Bible Study (still in development), all of which run WordPress.
I’ve added some new pictures to the Gallery page of some shots taken at Easter. It was amazingly cold this year, we even had some spots of snow still on the ground during the Easter Egg hunt! We spent Easter with Andi’s family out in Levelland and we had a good time. I plain to begin adding images to the Gallery on a much more regular basis. Well, have a great weekend and feel free to drop us a line.
